Sunday 6/13: Hoyo de Tradicion Toro
Last night it was a Padron 2000. The first puffs were very harsh, bitter and far from the norm. After letting it settle for a bit the familiar Padron profile resumed and it was a very satisfying cigar. I think my cigars may be under-humidified since I've been finding a bitter profile in several of them that wasn't there before.
I smoked a fantastic Johnny-O Corona Gorda, it was lovely until about an inch to go, it just dropped off the face of the earth!![]()

I find I have this taste/issue with over-humidified cigars not under-humidified cigars. Salt test the hygrometers my friend, good look with fixing the issue!
Last night pulled out a Johnny-O robusto to walk the dogs, but for some reason, no smoke was getting to me. I kept the lighter on the cherry thinking it needed a little push, but nothing. Chucked it in the ashtray rather than fight with it. Got another one just because I had already gotten a hint of the taste. Okay this one is smoking well enough to walk, but had to fight a crooked burn. It evened itself out about the last inch.
I was in the midst of posting this and a wave of nic sic came over meand I mean quick! Tore off the glasses, shut the computer down, wobbled in the house with a layer of cold sweat on my belly and went for the shower! :sign: I'm still cracking up thinking about it.![]()
Tonight, a RASS from '07 and things are back on track!
