I pulled one of these from the local B&M "half price" box about a year ago. It was an excellent smoke and I promised myself that I'd have to grab a few more to try. (Is it bad to break promises to yourself?)

Anyway, I haven't had another one since, until tonight. I bought a fiver of the robustos from CBid a couple of weeks ago and I just finished my first one.

I was pleased to discover that it was just as good as I remember. A well constructed stick, with lot of smoke and flavor. I love Brazilia Gols and this one ranks right up there with those IMHO.

Promise to self: Don't wait a year to have another!

As I am a Torano whore I have to agree, these are great smokes with some awesome taste behind them. I try to keep a few stocked at all times in case I need a superior smoke.

Few months back I ordered a Torono Sampler pack. Out of all the once included the signatuer came on top very similar to brazilia. The Silver had a bad burn and the gold label was just ok.

As mentioned in the Torano 1916 thread in Cigar Discussion, the factory is making some good cigars at decent prices.

I agree, the Signature, is one of the best cigars in the line. I just smoked their brand new cigar from the RTDA show last night. It's called the Virtuoso. I smoked the robusto size (can't remember the name right now). I don't have the specs on the tobacco in front of me, but I believe this might be there best release yet. Tons of coffee and cocoa with a nice backing of earth and charred wood. Very nice cigar.

Like all Toranos, good price point as well. Try them if you find them.

Are they that good...I'm the guy who has never smoked a Torano. I have a Signature robusto and it's been sitting in my humi for a while (bought it for $1). I love Opux and Anejo and Padron...will I like it?

I can't say if you'd like it, but I'd like to hear your opinion after you torch the thing.

I find the Signature to have too much of a charred flavor. Not a bad cigar but certainly not one of my favorites. I do really like some of the other Toranos though.

I agree. The whole Torano line is very good. I presume you guys know that Torano makes the CAO and Gurkha cigars.
The Signature is a fine medium stick. My favorite is the Exodus 1959. I recently was given a Torano Reserva Selecta. This is a torpedo about 6 1/2 X 50 glass tube with a cedar wrap. Lovely smoke. Peter

I haven't tried any Toranos but I have Casa Torano waiting to be smoked. How are the Casas? It's a very light wrapper.

Ive got a couple different Toranos that ive aquired from bombs, trades, etc....might be a good time to try one of them out!!
