Tried my first Monte2 today...

About a month ago I got a 10 ct. box with box code ROA OCT06.
I let them recover about a week or so and then smoked one.
It was amazingly good for such a fresh stick.
I've since had another and it too was great.
I'm gonna try to let the rest get a little older but will probably have to buy another box before too long.

BTW, the draw was amazingly good and I keep my RH at 70%.

The cigars seem too dry in my humidors if I go much lower than that.
 
I feel your pain, I had a Partagas that was plugged so tight that I sucked my underwear up my ass trying to get some smoke


Thats why I smoke naked. :sign:
 
Lots of hype surrounding this cigar. I'm personal not to impressed. I think they're a flavorful stick but I've certainly had a lot better. If I have the money to buy a box it would probably be spent on another vitola.
 
Just smoked a Monte #2 last night that I got from a 3x10 box split. ROA MAY 06.

Lots of great monte flavors, coffee and vanilla. Medium-Full/Full strength.

Got slightly harsh in the last 3rd; could use more time to mellow out.

I wasn't impressed with them when I first got them, but letting them rest 3-4 months really made a big difference.
