Trip to Iwan Ries

Found myself in Chicago this weekend to see Keb' Mo' at HOB and decided to take a walk down to Iwan Ries. It's been a couple of years since I'd stopped in and while nothing has changed, that's a good thing. I'd never really searched through the pipe drawers before, as I was usually just there to look at cigar stuff. This trip however, my wife and I spen a hour or so just looking through the drawers. She picked out a nice Jobey for me and I picked ou a Savinelli Alligator. Haven't had a chance to smoke either of them yet, but slcraider sent me some samples and I hope to get some time this week to start smoking the pipes.

I ordered my first pipe from them a few months ago. Being totally clueless I had to call first. They are very friendly people and a joy to deal with. I will definately have to peruse their shop the next time I find myself in Chi.
