TV Help

I bought a Vizio 37" LCD from from Costco. I love it. It may not quite hit the high end TV's but the picture suits me just fine. will be getting the 46" next week.

They get great reviews too.

OK, so a bottle of wine, a third of a bottle of scotch, a bag of pretzles, a broken glass shelf, two shattered brand new heavy-based martini glasses, a ruined (or at least damaged--woodworkers, I need some help) brand new TV stand, two trips to radio shack, one crying wife, three bleeding knuckles, a badly yanked back muscle, and 8 hours later, the new set is up and running.

It looks damned good. Watched a few hours of HD stuff last night, and was late to work this morning after showing laurie what it can do. Still haven't tested if the DVD player is working, as my heart can't take it.

THanks for the help everybody. So far, the bad parts of the reviews do not seem to be bothering me.

Did I miss something or did you not even tell us what you got! And you really did a number installing that TV, haha, I don't think I've ever heard of such mayhem.

What - no water?

I got the TV that I linked to in the first post. It had so-so reviews, and from speaking to a number of friends, my wife, and an invisible magic rainbow trout that lives in my hat, I pulled the trigger.

Not until I woke up on the couch at 2 or so, pre-hungover, face stuck to the leather and crawled upstairs.

I'm usually impressed with any HD set - it's such an upgrade from what I have in my apt. One of the reasons I love to go home is HBO on the 52in. Hope you can smoke a cigar and watch some Kiarostami on that thing!

Damn nice TV if you ask me...now go get a PS3 and some Blu-Ray movies.

No, but I did see Uncle Miltie last night as it was Tuesday, LOL.

i hear we will eventually be able to talk on phones with out wires! and be able to transmit pictures and documents over the telephone lines too! oh i can't wait for the future! :sign:
kidding aside...HiDef is the shiz!
good luck Josh, you'll get some serious couch time with your new set, even if you are watching Ed Sullivan.
