A US Airways airplane is down in thew Hudson River, pray for the souls on board!

Looks like everyone might be alright, Pilot landed it safely on to the water, and got everyone out on time before it sank. Thats what it looks like but, Still prayers send.

PS. Must be a hell of a pilot to land it safely into water like that.

David

edit: a purely hopeful statement. As tony-ny stated, this hasnt been confirmed yet.

Oh my god... Prayers and thoughts of all that were aboard that flight.
I really hope everyone makes it out okay.

As some who flies frequently for work, this some scary shit.

Agreed, kudos to the pilot who handled this. He is a hero.

CNN just said that everyone got off safely, man thats nuts. Glad to see that it didn't have the outcome of the flight that hit the 14th st bridge in D.C. in 1982

That crew should get medals for the landing and the boats that came to their rescue.

Incredible job by the pilot and crew, and also for those who responded quickly to rescue all the passengers on the plane.

Something tells me a lot of people in Manhattan had deja-vu seeing a plane that low over the Hudson. Lets hope they are alright as well.

Landing in water is no easy skill. This pilot was able to hold the plane together and landed in a way where the plane didn't break up. Not ane easy task. Apparently, everyone has made it out ok. Let's pray and hope that this is true.

Yes, that is one hell of a pilot. Also what a great response by the ferry pilots and other boats in the water.

Everyone is accounted for and seem to be relatively safe. I heard that one woman lost a leg but that's not confirmed. The current pulled the plane down the Hudson approximately 2 miles so far. Incredible. I'm sure I have friends on the scene but I wouldn't even chance calling or texting them because they have their hands full at present.

She is a flight attendant and she broke her leg.

What an incredible job on the pilots part. That must have been a scary ass ride! Seems like response crews and the passengers themselves did everything correctly.

Cheers to those pilots and crew getting that plane down and safe.

Cheers to the ferry's and others for getting there so fast!
