Hi all, I recently bought a used humidor that had a hygrometer and has a reading of 70%. I got home and put a calibrated hygrometer in it but it only reads 60%. I put a shot glass of water in it and nether hygro has moved, What can I do to keep It at 72%. Thanks Drew

Give it a few days. I recently bought a humi and set it up. A month later I'm seasoning it again because its not holding steady humidity

Give it some time. Don't open it up every 10 minutes expecting it to jump up.

I recently seasoned my humidor with those Boveda seasoning packets. It took two weeks but its now holding a steady humidty at 66% which I am pretty happy with. You might check them out. They also make humidity packets which I use in the humidor (72%) and in my coolerdor (69%)

David

Forgot to add that you should check your seal. Hope its working out now.

it takes time. did the shot glass full of Distilled water atleast go down? If it didn't then your humidor hasn't absorbed it yet.
