So after leaving my last dojo on bad terms that no one seems to want to acknoledge I've spent the last several years trying to find my 2nd home again. After lots of searching and trying I've one of my old friends is opening a new place with some other fighters and some big backers. It looks like I will be helping teach a variety of classes once they are up and running. The kids just took their first class there tonight and enjoyed it more than I expected them too. It will be hard to fit it in to our schedule and hectic life but I can't tell you all how excited I am to have that part of my life back. It has been a long time and I hate training on my own, this was a GREAT day!

That is awesome brother. Glad to hear it. It's definitely not the same training on your own. I was training when I had free time out in Iraq, but being away from the dojo has it's differences. Now if only I could stay in one place to enjoy one dojo. Is it BJJ, MMA, or something different altogether?
My BJJ dojo hired Muay Thai and kickboxing instructors last year to assist those wanting to step up to MMA.

Congrats man... I know how bad it sucks to train without a "home". I'm trying to find a new dojo now that I'm out of the Corps and back at home.
Wavescrashing, the dojo has 3-4 bjj and mma instructors. My friend is muay thai, he needs some help to make these guys see the light with stand up work. I'm hoping I get brought on to the instructors team to help him. My background includes mma before it was cool. I have a different outlook than the current generation of fighters though. I'm hoping to start up a womens self defense course that is free. That's my big thing, a woman should know how to kick the living shit out of a man who deserves it.
