Today (well I guess it was yesterday actually) was a great day.

Met up with a friend from work and we decided to hit all the cigar shops (both of them) in town today.

First stop was Pete's Tobacco downtown. Neither of us had not been there before and we were impressed with the selection. Did some window shopping at the pipes and cigars before we bought a stogie and then headed out for lunch. Will be stopping by there again, decent prices (by Alaskan standards) and a nice selection. Caught some mexican grub and then headed to midtown to visit the Tobacco Cache. I had been in here a few times and saw that they had added some inventory since my last visit. Picked up a CAO Crillio and my friend bought a Soprano and we sat down and enjoyed a nice smoke in a warm room for a change. Smoking in a vehicle gets old after awhile.

After the smoke we looked through the humidor once more and we each picked up a Tatuaje Noella for the road. Also saw some Anjeo's in stock. May have to go back once I get some bills paid and see if they have any left.

Went to Starbuck's afterward and grabbed some coffee while we sat outside and enjoyed the Tatuaje's. Not a bad stick. Not sure if they live up to the hype, but not bad. Picked up a french press while I was there, can't wait to try it out. :)

In all we wasted about 5 hours of our day off and made the wives mad when we returned smelling like a cigar shop. Wish all my Fridays were like this.

I found that the Tat's really lose "it" if you smoke them in the cold. All cigars do I guess, but in my experience it totally changed the character of the cigar. Try one again during a 70 degree day.

And, yea, I am biased :) I REALLY like the Tat's.
