PLATINO

CHIVA - 5 X 52

Brethren,

I have been keeping tabs on this release ever since reading this review posted here on CP a couple months back.

At a recent visit to my local B&M I spotted the cigar on the shelf. I was fortunate to get the last 2 sticks in the box.

The cigar is rolled in a Corojo 99 wrapper. As you can see in the picture, it looks like a stick of chocolate.
The wrapper is smooth and oily.

The cigar is firm with no soft spots. A look at the foot shows packed tobacco.

I took out my punch and took a pull before lighting. Great draw.

Solid construction held together by a triple cap.

I lit the foot and away we go. This is a pic just after lighting. Immediate light pepper detected which I attribute to the Corojo wrapper. The smoke is smooth with tons of flavor.

After the first 10 mins leather makes an appearance.

Best way to describe the cigar thus far is FLAVOR. Wonderful rich Nicaraguan tobacco. As I hit the half way mark the tobacco settles in and becomes richer. The cigar pics up some strength at this point. Just before removing the band.

The cigar starts off with a bang and only gets better. As stated in the previous review, this is truly unlike any Nicaraguan puro I have smoked. I put the cigar at medium body picking up to medium plus by the end. Since smoking, I have purchased a box which I will post when it comes in. From what I understand these are hard to find, so get em if you can.

Nubbed
