vino tray ?

Im building trays and shelves for my vino,Thought it would be a good weekend project for my 12 y.o. son and I.
the question is can I drill !"holes in them instead of cutting slots for ventilation? I dont have a router to cut the slots
Also will I need to "season" the trays before putting sticks in them?

Yes you can drill holes. I would season the trays before you put sticks in there.

Yeah its amazing how fast they fill up.Started in July with a box of Rocky Patel vin.92
and a bunch of sticks gifted by a friend of mine.7 months later and I have a vino full.lol
the trays could be combined into 1 and with some box tetrus I hope to get3or 4 more boxes in there
