Vinotemp Porn

I have the same vinotemp, could you measure your shelves and drawers so I can relay that to MT? Thanks.

Edit - those wire racks are driving me nutz!!!

Very nice. One day I will get shelves made for mine. I currently just use boxes to hold all my singles.

Just tell him you want the same ones he made for Epiphany. He already has the measurements.

Very cool setup, mang!! You didn't waste any time.

Just letting it stabilize for a couple of days. Then I'll move some stuff from my cooler and my two small humidors into the vinotemp.

Great set-up. Now start on another one because you will fill that bad boy up in now time.

I KNOW!! I started filling it tonight with some of my prize sticks and I thought this thing won't last me at all!! This cigar stuff is a real illness. I did keep some of my lower in boxes in my cooler to conserve space.

Do you have a bowl on the bottom, to catch the condensation?

The bulk of my beads are in a aluminum baking pan. You know the cheap kind that you throw away once you are done cooking in them. Its pretty wide and about a inch and half deep. I have that pushed against the back wall. So in condesation will drop right on the pan of beads.

My setup is kinda like that. I've been meaning to make drawers for it but now I have filled it completely up and have no room for them. Guess I'm gonna have to buy another one.

Looks good... hopefully I can get drawers once I get another one.

You may want to think about changing from the aluminum pan to some sort of glass or ceramic dish. Aluminum may rust over time, lending a potential catalyst to mold. I found a nice square glass serving plate at Wally World for a few bucks for my Vinotemp.

Got it. Thanks

Aluminum doesn't rust....

Nice vinotemp though! I was thinking about getting one becuase of the temperature properties and fan and everything, but I'm wondering how many cigars they'll hold. I have 2 coolers (almost) full already and I wouldn't want LESS space than that. We'll see what the future holds though!

Go big or go...bigger?

Great pics man! Where did you get the drawers? :)

Long story short ...Epiphany brought drawers and shelves that didnt fit from MTMOUSE becuase he (Epiphany) measured wrong or something. So I paid MTMOUSE for the drawers and shelves and he is going to make another set for Epiphany. Epiphany sent me his that didn't fit. I think he may have some more if you are looking for some.

Tim is amazing. I had the same problem (not due to either of our errors, I just got an odd vino apparently). He crafted another set on the cheap for me. Amazing customer service. MT is good people.

Just put a piece of black electrical tape over the drain hole. Put your beads in a mesh bag and lay it over the drain hole. The condensation will drip down and be absorbed by the beads, then recirculated as needed.

This also give you enough room to put a shelf on the bottom support.

You're right.....it corrodes. Aluminum oxidizes or corrodes, it's not actually rust. Though if you've ever scratched your 'aluminum' pans, you've probably seen them rust. I am not sure all pans are 100% aluminum. Would he really want to take the chance?

The black tape/bead bag suggestion above is also a perfectly fine solution as well. I just happen to prefer my beads being more distributed.
