I picked up this Parker No. 125 for $20 at a local flea market last weekend. These were made for Parker of London (USA) by Dunhill and from what I’ve researched, it’s simply a rebranded Dunhill. This one dates to the ‘50s-‘60s. Not much work needed for this one. Just a quick polishand a repack of the wadding to dig the wick out. Even the flint was new!
My journey into pipe smoking and the use of naphtha (Zippo) fueled lighters has inspired me to try using these types of lighters with cigars. So far after about a half-dozen smokes I can say that the naphtha fuel is NOT imparting any unpleasantness on the smoke. I have too many good butane lighters to go all in on these, but I’m going to keep my mind open.
