Virus Alerts

Virus's have hit hard within the past 3 weeks. First it was BLASTER, then SOBIG, now it's a "good worm" called WELCHIA. Welchia is supposed to help fight the "bad worms". This is the worst its ever been for virus's; now we have virus's attacking each other.

I'm posting a link for everyone, where you can download patches in case you're infected. Always good to scan and be safe.

We have been going nuts at the office trying to keep these viruses from infecting our systems.

School got hit already. Last night I was there till one in the morning. We had 30,000 connections on our firewall. Needless to say it slowed down our network and killed our internet.

I work with ricmac and I've seen what these new viruses are doing to our network. I'll definitely download the patches for my home computers.

I am clean on Blaster and Welchia.

THe Sobig removal tool has a program error about half way through on my XP machine. That is the older one so I doubt I have a problem.

In the last 24 hours, I've received no less than 15 assorted email messages about, 'Sorry, was unable to deliver your message' message is attached..

yeah right, with .exe's and .scr's

I have been receiving them too. Am also getting email that looks like it's from Microsoft with a pathch attached to it. Some .exe file.
