Visited a cigar tobacco farm in full swing

Hey CC, I thought you lived in the land of the frozen tundra and had to get around by dog sled....

I was supposed to call Grateful too, but just didn't have the time away from the family. My wife and I already decided that our next trip has some planned down time!

:D

LMAO! I was just bustin' yer balz. Had you actually called me, I probably wouldn't have been able to make it anyway. Just ask Gary, almost every time he calls me or shoots me a PM to get together to smoke, I've got one excuse or another. :D

Sounds great for the next time you come up this way, we'll plan it a little ahead and be sure to tell me "no excuses, get the Jaguar off of the blocks and drive up to Enfield."

Our next trip may be a while. We came home to a plumbing leak under the concrete slab (no basement) in one of the back bathrooms. I know whatchyer thinkin..."New tools!".....the wife already told me, "No jack hammer!".

Fun ruiner....

Nice pics and story. I drove by some barns drying tobacco on some back roads this weekend. Not sure if they're for cigars or cigarettes or what, though.

Nice Joe! Reminds me of my trip to Honduras(RP tour). It's amazing to see all the work that goes into processing tobacco. I still question how they are able to sell a cigar so cheaply for the amount of labor and time involved with creating them.

I must have read hundreds of articles about cigar making but this post with all the pics taught me more than many of them. Thanks for the education. It was great!!

WOW

I mean WOW....I can't think of anything else to say

That was friggin fantastic!!

Wonderful pics! Thanks Joe.

Reminded me of a hot summer back in the 40s when I picked shade-tobacco on a farm in Gadsden County, Florida. They grew cigar wrapper tobacco there back then but no more. Mule-drawn wagons were used to carry the leaves as we school children did the picking. Saw at least one huge, green worm on a leaf.

Wow..great pics...thanks for sharing,

Makes me wonder why I have not visited there myself being only a short drive away.
