first time poster - I'm getting married soon and being somewhat crafty I want to give my guys a handmade personalized cigar box with a few treats inside - a few sticks and something to wash it down with.

Anyone know of plans for a box or suggestions of what to fill it with. Probably will want to keep the cigars and the box under $50.

thanks for the help

Any general idea what kind of cigars the guys like to smoke?

If not, something in the mediuim range - Fuente 858 (Natural or Maduro) are about 4 bucks apiece. Fuente Hemingway a bit more. Diamond Crown, milder, much more expensive, but very, very good.

Others will have other, perhaps better suggestions.

Congrats!

Cigarmony humidor

For $50, you could get the humidor above for all the guys and have their initials engraved on the plate if you want. The humidor is $30 and Cigarmony is a very well respected website on this forum.

Also, to make sure your buddies get off on the right foot, perhaps you consider buying them some beads. Viper's beads for 50-75 count humiIn my mind, you are going to some trouble putting this gift together, may make sense to get them beads so that you know the sticks you just invested in are not just drying out. For $11, I think you can't go wrong.

All the cigar selections mentioned are very good and I would just throw in LGC Serie R as another suggestion.

So for right around $50, you could get them each a personalized humidor, beads, and 3-4 nice sticks. Also make sure to put the web address of this Forum in there too.

Just my $.02.

Thompson Cigar does personalized boxes, humis, and even cigar bands. I have had a few of the cigars, and they are pretty good. Check it out if interested at Thompson.

Thanks for the input guys. Right on with the Hemingways and LGC Serie R's. I want to make the box myself to make it a bit more special to me and them. I'm thinking of just going to the shop today to look at a few well constructed boxes and modify where it needs to be.

any further suggestions are welcome and in case you're wondering, my fiance' supports my little hobby. Even bought me a couple Hemingway BTL's for my law school graduation.
