I was invited to a cigar rolling event at Lonsdale's in Scottsdale Arizona this morning to watch how wrapping is done. Very cool. They brought in a guy from the Dominican Republic to roll La Aurora 1495's. It was awesome to see how they have this down. Anyway, for going, I got to have one of these monsters for free (they said it would've been like $16) and asked when I should smoke it. The shop owner said smoke it today or wait at least 2 months. Being I've not had a fresh one, I went for it today.

This smoke was AMAZING! I have not been a fan of natural wraps but this one captured me from light to nub. It was like smoking a stick of butter (if I could say it that way). Soft and smooth, not tons of flavor but very enjoyable. Consistent all the way to the end. Thumbs up for a cool day.

If the roller's name was Pedro, then he is the same roller that was at OVTC a few weeks ago. Jose Blanco brought him and another gentleman in to roll some "custom" pigtail smokes. I was there, and there is supposedly a video going up on OVTC's website on how he was rolling pigtails.
I've got two in the humi drying out. Jose told me to have one on Christmas day, and save the other one.
