No matter what your party status, you have to admire the power of the vote. The peaceful way to show approval or disapproval with your elected officials.

Perhaps, but I think he is more in line with Doc's statement. I'll smoke today and enjoy it more knowing the change of power will go without the slightest scrutiny from our armed forces. Even at my age and physical condition, if the Navy called me back, I wouldn't ask why, but where and when.

Hey, I know I am just a noob here but what happened to the whole no politics no religion thing? I am sure there are many who agree with the statement but also a great many who do NOT agree with it. Posts like this are usually just a prequell to smart quips and snaps from people.
Not trying to ruffle any feathers here but I just thought it was status quo to not discuss such things as "why I Love the liberal media and how they finally got Bush and the republicans...only took 6 years of negative ads, one sided political conversations and appealing to the masses of 'chanters' who will follow what anyone says-especially if they are a movie star or a comedian" LOL. Now, now, before you go loading up your "guns" fellow BOTLI make that statement as a point in fact about why there is a rule here. I am sure many people don't like to read what I just said. As many people may not have liked reading the whole "Yay, yay, the Democrats took control".
Now I apologize in advance for my beef here and the persons who may get upset. Noob or not, rules are rules, and persons are all entitled to their opinions on politics. We have all heard the saying about opinions: they are like.............everyone's got one.
Peace everyone, long reign democracy, freedom, and a nation where brave men and women have laid down their lives to protect our rights here at home, as well as the rights any other human should be afforded abroad which have been paid for in blood.....

As an aside, I was not attacking you personally, nor trying to single out any other member for ridicule. I was merely pointing out that the post and some of the responses that followed it certainly appeared to have political implications, especially considering the timing, a day after elections.
