Hey everyone!

I was lucky enough to have a day off, so I figured that I would check out a cigar shop that I've never been to, but a buddy of mine frequents. As I walked outside to my car, I noticed a package. My new supply of Viper's Beads came today! I ordered a pound and a half for a new wine-a-dor that I'm setting up, and they came today!

I proceeded to Tobacco Plaza in Great Neck, NY, and the place was slammed. I couldn't find a parking spot for 15+ minutes. Once I walked in, I quickly realized why. Pete Johnson was hanging out because there was a Tatuaje event going on! I immediately went to the set up and grabbed the last full box of Noellas Reserva that they had out. I spoke with Pete for a few minutes and for buying the box, I received 3 free Tatuaje Blacks, a black Tatuaje hat, cutter, pin, and patch. Pete autographed my hat, but as I sit here now, I wish I had him sign the box too!

I ran into a friend there, and he bought 10 Cojonu 2003's and 10 Cojonu 2009's. He gifted me one of each too!

Here are a few pictures of my take from the event! As a newbie to the cigar would, this was a pretty big day for me!!!

Just wanted to share my experience with all of you.

Sounds like an awesome time...seems as though it was one of those right place right time deals. Nice grab...I just picked up a cojonu 2009 today too.

Wow, that is an excellent haul. Just think if you hadn't had the day off, this thread and those cigar porn pics would never exist...

It was definitely one of those right place right time things!! Also, the reason that I had the day off was kind of a fluke anyway, so I think that the Cigar gods were looking out for me yesterday!
 
Yeah I was there it was a good time, great food Long Island Luau Grill was going on :D :thumbs:
 
Nice haul, but FYI those are not regular Tat Blacks. Those are the robusto size. They can only be gotten from Pete Johnson at his Events. So enjoy them, and make them last. They are not easy to come by, and are some fantastic smokes.

You lucky son of a gun! That sounds like it was a kick ass day! :) I envy you right now....I wish Pete Johnson would come out here to SoCal soon.

Nice haul indeed. Haven't smoked a tat I haven't liked so far. I have one of the Cojonu 09's in my humi resting with some Regios and Nobles.
 
Thanks again guys! I haven't had many Tat's (they are all aging a little in my humi), but I too have not had a Tat that I haven't enjoyed. It was nice to meet the man and be apart of a cool event like this!

Thanks for that info, I really didn't know that! Now, I definitely have to make them last! It will be hard, but must be done :D
 
Amazing haul, Pete is one cool dude to talk to. I wish that stuff like that would happening in Michigan, NO ONE wants to come here.
