Obviously being a Missouri State grad, I am biased. But leaving them out in favor of Illinois, Arkansas, or Stanford. Stanford was an absolute joke! It seems mid-majors are getting less and less respect even though they are getting better each year. Other teams left out:

-Drexel
-Syracuse
-Air Force

Also, the ACC getting 7 teams and the Big XII only getting 4?? At least the NIT will be the best it has been in a very long time.

Well my alma mater is SIUC so I'm not really an Illinois (UofI) fan, but I do pull for them from time to time.

However, I don't think they deserved the bid. Oh well. Looking forward to a good tourney.

Hey lay off Arkansas! We have been struggling for years now! let us have our fun! :D We have been playing very well the past few weeks, so maybe we can win a game or two in the tourney. I am a little surprised at some of the choices, AR included, but I am glad we are in it! GO HOGS!!

I'm pretty darn happy, and it looks like the Gators might have a shot at repeating, they are playing very well right now, but repeating is very very very hard to do.

KU got a tough draw IMO. UCLA is a good team and will be playing close to home. Pitt and Southern Illinois are also tough. Of course the Jayhawks need to actually win a first round game before worrying about those guys! \
I agree that MO State got the shaft -- I also think Kansas State deserved to be in.

The selection committee looks at a lot of things. Illinois had lots of injuries this year and still played well in the last half of the season against a tough schedule. They also had a lot of distractions with a couple of players off court problems. As a fan I am biased, but I can see why they were let in when factoring in everything.
