I just ordered a box of Punch Rare Corojos to store. I'm having a hard time finding the Oliva V Maduro. I understand that both of these are annual releases. Just wondering what you guys jump at on the release calendar each year?

I am not sure this is what you mean but in a fews weeks I am planning on finally pulling the trigger and getting the Opus 22 set. That will probably be my big purchase for the year. I am thinking I am going to trade a trip to vegas for that purchase. I know Holts here in Philly carries it on line. I would love to walk in, make my purchase and walk out with it....and skip the pain of waiting for an online delivery.

You will probably be hard pressed to fined a box of the V Maduros until Oliva releases this year's batch. Looks like they are targeting an early fall date like they did last year.

I'm way too new to really know what is general and annual production. What I have seen is that Punch does a yearly release and I've liked what I've smoked from them, so what the heck? Also, I listened to the podcast about the Oliva's and decided I needed to have some of these as well. I would like to pull the plug on some Padron annuals, but I think a sampler is best for now.

What I meant was if there were any good, affordable annuals like the Oliva or the Punch.

I always buy Opus, Anejos and Hemingway Maduros. Oliva V Maddies are still around. I haven't started stocking up on cc yet, so I cant comment on those. Get what you like, there are a lot of cigars that are great that aren't annuals.

Actually, get what you can (if it's a reasonable price). If you don't like them, I'm sure pleny of BOTLs are willing to trade for them.

Like SPIVY:
Opus
Anejo
Hemingway Maduro
Oliva V Maddies

I don't know where you are getting your information but this is from the Oliva rep that is on this board:

Ian, someone at my local B&M told me that there is supposed to be an Oliva V Maduro Robusto coming out next year. Is there any truth to this? Or just wishful thinking?

Anything you hear about any future Serie V Maduro's is pure speculation and rumors. The fact of the matter is that nothing has even been talked about yet. I will say though, that a V Maduro Robusto would be awesome indeed!

For SiriusBlack:

Depending on where you live, it might be cheaper to mail order
the OpusX 22 set, than to pay PA and City tax at Holt's store.
Shipping is less than state/local taxes.

If you live in PA, you're out of luck, unless you know someone
in NJ or DE who will receive the package for you.

Chemyst

That is one heck of a purchase. I hope you are able to pull the trigger. That set would be absolutely amazing to have. Maybe some day I will be able to get one

Tatuaje has started doing a thing for Halloween. He's got his Monster series started and he's going to continue it this year with the Drac...
