We have about 150,00 people come to the bakns of the Ohio River, in Newport, to see the WEBN (local radio station) fireworks to end the summer. ??? When the job is 15 hours of takin' care of IDIOTS, it sucks!!!!

Oh well, I hope y'all have a great Labor Day weekend!!!!

PS: I'm just blowin' off some steam. Tryin' to gear up for this! :D

Swwwweeet

Turn right, and stop off in Brooklyn to pick me up, I've got nothing going on this weekend, and could use some excitement :p

Dang, you Kentuckians must get pretty rowdy to require muscle like that! Note to self: watch out if ever in Kentucky when fireworks are involved.

:sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky: :p

Uh, if fireworks are the ONLY things involved, I'd say you were pretty safe. Problem is, with us Redneck Kantuckiens we like to get out them guns and drank too!!! ;) :D

Well the powers that be at my work have decreed that we all work on Labor Day. So, I'll be doing my normal everyday thing. Sitting behind the throttle of a 150 car coal train, smokin a stogie, watching everyone else playing in the James River having fun :(

You know, actually it ain't so bad, and they pay me to do this! :p

I'll be BBQing and restringing decoys. :)

Two weeks before I get to start slaughtering ducks again! Them Teal will be a good tune up before the Dove season opens a week later. :sneaky:

Can you say dove stew? ;) :D

I will be working supporting remote customers. Problem is, the customers will be at home b-b-qing. ??? This means that I will be prepared to answer the phone for a customer that will probably not call.

buuuuuutttttttt, after work, I will be having another one of them awesome Perdomo The cigar's (and maybe a CAO extreme) :D

I am sleeping in a bit later than normal, eating a homemade breakfast made by the great in-house cook we have (my wife), eating a light lunch, going to my parents' house for a cookout and then having a fantasy football draft at 8 PM! Then I will probably watch USC/Auburn. I'm sure I will mix a nice cigar in there too!

So far this weekend I have:

1) Stayed up really really late.
2) Slept in realy realy late.
3) Played and beat: Shogun, Total War.
4) Met with a new friend and smoked a couple of cigars.
5) Caught up with my posting here.
6) Smoking more cigars.
7) Going to watch movies the rest of today.

Man, I'm beat! We had a family vacation weekend and had a blast!

Friday
Spent the day at the waterpark and rode some great rides like the Big Kahuna Water Coaster and the Volcano Express Slide! Ended the evening with a great '00 Punch Churchill... TY-DMC!

Saturday
Checked into a Waikiki hotel for a two night stay and after settling in we went to watch the opening game of the season... Hawaii Warrior Football! A great game watching the Warriors put a whooping on Eastern Illinois! By the time we got back to the hotel I was too tired for a 'gar.

Sunday
We went on a walking tour thru Waikiki during the day... I even got to check out a couple of cigar shops! But... with Short Stories selling for $13 a piece I had to pass on purchasing anything. In the afternoon we had a great time at the pool.... I was able to enjoy an Opus X No. 4 at poolside... another generous gift from DMC! That night... our friends came over with their kids and we had a hotel party... LOL! We feasted on some killer pizza and Chili's babyrack ribs while washing it down with cold brewskis! The girls took the kids to play video games and the dads were able to enjoy the view of Waikiki from our 21st floor balcony while enjoying some RyJ Ex No. 4 that a friend brought. Heck... we even had some entertainment watching a couple "excercise" with their drapes open a half block away... ROTF!

Monday
Glad to be home... WHEW! :D It's hot and humid today... gonna take my daughter for a swim later this afternoon! Hopefully... I'll be able to end this great weekend with a nice cigar while watering the lawn... probably with another great gift from Bruddah Devin! :D

I hope all you Bruddahs had a great Labor Day Weekend!

Aloha,

Wade

Wade, for cryin' out loud, ya live in Hawaii....couldn't you have found something interesting to do? LOL

Just kidding brother, you kicked the hell outta my weekend.

Well, on Friday night I bashed in my first airplane, if that counts. Wrapped it, so to speak, around a telephone pole.

My wife and I went for a spur-of-the-moment hundred-dollar hamburger (it's a technical term for a brazen excuse to fly that you tell everybody is a trip somewhere to eat) on Friday. We took off, navigated, and landed safely, but as I was swiveling the plane to the right into the tie-down (and looking to the right as well, of course), I smacked the leading edge of the left wing into a telephone pole and put a respectable dent in it. Didn't bend the spar, but I did crush one of the ribs.

We got a mechanic to come out and look at it, and the owner to fly it home; but it turned a $100 hamburger into a $2500 hamburger--or, in my case, Reuben sandwich. May be smoking fewer cigars for awhile.
