A few people have asked me what kind of software we make at my company so... here's an example of one of our utility products. We also make games (Mac and Windows): http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/
These videos were taken by a product I've written called "Snapz Pro X" -- it lets you record videos of anything on your computer screen, including any audio the computer is playing, as well as allowing you to overdub a voice track as you record.
People use it for all manner of things; showing off their software product's capabilities, creating training videos for various software packages, making movies to show people how to do something on their computer, and so on and so forth. Essentially, it lets you take full motion video screen captures. Companies like Apple, Adobe, MacroMedia, and so on and so forth use it.
Here are some example videos; you'll need to have QuickTime installed to view them; if you have a Mac, it's built in. If you have Windows and it didn't come bundled on your machine, you can download it for free here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
