I am a 70°plus person and it gets cold were I am what would be a good pipe and Tabacco for a 15-30 time frame. If it help I am a fan of all things Oliva and Drew Estates except for seriea G.

An MM Legend and some Haunted Bookshop would fit the bill. Legends are smaller bowls thus quicker smoke. Also, Latakia is better in colder weather, IMO.

Any pipe tobacco you like can be a short smoke, warped makes some pipe blends with cigar leaf.

A MM cob is a great choice, easy to break in and smoke well

I don't smoke a pip too much, but I do have a couple of Morgan Bones pipes. When I was trying to figure out what to buy a few years back they were mentioned a lot plus they are budget-friendly. Don't know a ton about pipe tobacco other than I don't like the aromatics as much. I'll be following to see what the regular pipers recommend in case I decide to dabble again in the near future.

Winter: ANY blend you know that typically smokes a little hotter than others.

For example: Virginias have natural sugars & tend to burn a little hotter.

Tobaccos I like in the winter: ANY Virginia / Perique blend. Rattray’s, G.L. Pease, 3 Nuns, Stokkebye’s Navy Flake / medallions, Orlik Golden Sliced, Dunhill Virginia Flake, Tjordenskold Virginia medallions, etc- see the trend?

Also- in keeping with wintery flavors, a good Balkan blend does the trick. Larry’s blend comes to mind.

If your tin of Christmas Cheer 🫤🙄😢🥹 is puffy- crack it open & stick it in a jar & enjoy. I’ve got 2 tins of 2014, 2016, and the 40th anniversary 2017. I’m not cracking those open until something special happens or unless the can pops. (I love that sound- only heard it once in my life) 😀😂

Anyhow- I’m new to the forum but I’ve been smoking a pipe for around 25 years- learned in the navy. I know more about pipe smoking than I do about stogies- so- any other questions- hit me up- chances are I’ve made a fair portion of mistakes anyone could make including breaking pipe stems 😂
