ZZ Top - Live In Germany 1980 (2011)
If you were a ZZ Top collector the ultimate video was if their performance on the the German TV series Rockpalast. Now Germany, as most of Europe, used a TV system called PAL while we use NTSC. Somebody, somewhere had to have both to play the PAL tape and re-record it onto an NTSC tape. Then you had to find somebody who had a copy either in Europe or here in the US All pre internet. To this day this performance is considered the pinnacle of that era for ZZ Top
After 30 years of bootlegs it was finally remastered and released in 2011 as a 22 song DVD as Live in Germany. The original performance was recorded at the Grugahalle in Essen for the Rockpalast broadcast. Since the original release it has been repackaged as Double Down with an 11 song DVD taken from their 2008 European tour.
It doesn't get much better than this if you are a ZZ Top fan.
