Live Friday

Deep Purple, 'Made in Japan' (1972)

IMO the single most well know hard rock live album of the 70's. Deep purple was in the middle of a string of Gold albums, Ritchie Blackmore was as innovative on guitar as anyone at the time, Jon Lord's Organ was integrated into the sound like no other Metal band of the day.
This was recorded in 1972 as part of that years Machine Head tour of 120 dates around the world. The tour continued into '73 with the show I saw in June being one of the last. Released in December of '72 in Japan it wasn't released in the US until the end of March '73.

Originally available as a 2 album set there have been a remaster of the original, 3 cd set with more of the show and a Super Deluxe Blu-ray edition for the 50th anniversary with 5 CDs and the Blu-Ray

This is the Original 2 LP set.
