What SMOKING music are you listening to? (2026)

This is the 27th Live Friday. I'm good for at least 150 more but 100 of them will be Grateful Dead 🤣

Live Friday

CSNY 1974 (2014)

CSNY's second live album after 1970's 4 Way Street features music from their 1974 stadium tour which at the time was the largest stadium tour in history passing the Beatles of 1966. It became the blueprint used for the next 3 Rolling Stones tours of 1975,1978 and 1981 which added more stadiums each iteration courtesy of Bill Graham.

Unlike 4 Way Street these shows included song by all 4 as solo artists, CSN and Crosby-Nash along with all four together. After the first breakup of CSN&Y in 1970 the member had 7 gold records however, the next 7 records didn't do as well at all and it was Bill Graham who convinced them to do this tour.

While 30 of the 31 shows were in the US it was the one show at Wembley in the UK that provided the most songs. More live album then most there are no overdubs or studio playing on this. Instead bits of the same songs from the tour were spliced in as needed to get a good copy.

This album was released in the following versions
3 CD, 1 DVD
3 CD, 1 Blu-ray
1 Blu-ray, 6 LP records with coffee table book
3 different single album samplers - Starbucks exclusive, normal retail channels, MoJo Magazine exclusive. All came with a 188 page booklet.

All versions listed above were released the same day.

Video from a bonus DVD.
