Live Feiday

Todd Rundgren, 'Back to the Bars' (1978)

A long double album recorded at The Bottom Line, Agora Ballroom and The Roxy in early '78 it covers songs from 7 of the 8 solo albums Todd had done by then. With multiple guest players including 6 former members of his group Utopia, Hall & Oates, Rick Derringer, Spencer Davis and the entire group Hello People and Stevie Nicks.

This was thought to be his major break-out album but even with some of his more commercial songs it was the number of deep cut idiosyncratic songs that fans knew but were more difficult for new fans to understand. While at 20 songs over 103 minutes meant most songs were longer then what radio would normally play and didn't edit down well to get to that point. The CD release was the a double so nothing was left out. It was remastered in 2015. The cover was designed by Hipgnosis.

You guys should like this....just bought tickets to take my 14yo grand daughter and son Thomas to see Marylin Manson and Rob Zombie in Ridgefield in September...!!! I know, not a 'kid' concert, but she's not a kid anymore, and has been after her dad to take her to a real concert. She'll LOVE the music, should be great fun. My kids grew up listening to White Zombie in my old VW, so a good time will be had by all.....😎
