Saw mention of this auction on another forum. Thought I would post the link here for our resident experts to give their opinion on the fake/real question.

Price is too good to be real, I vote fake.
 
Very hard to tell from the bad pics, but the wrappers all look consistant. Bands are hard to tell as is the triple cap. I'll put in a vote for real. But that's just a vote and not necessarily right! ;)
 
How does someone get away with listing an illegal item on Yahoo Auctions? Don't they worry at all about men in black suits showing up on the doorstep?
 
This same seller was offering the Cohiba Piramide '06 in a five Cohiba sampler around 5 months ago :laugh: ! He claimed he somehow had a whole bunch of them even before they were ever released. Far-fetched yet possible......but the kicker you might ask, the Piramide came in a cardboard Cohiba single case that the Sig VI Tubos come in.

Dead give away.....this guy is a POS!!!!

Not trying to be the gullible n00b or anything, but I've shipped a Partagas 160 in a Davidoff tube before just for the sake of protecting it in shipping, so it's not a total dead giveaway... :whistling:

Correct. They come in a 10 count wood box.

There is absolutely no reason to buy Cuban cigars on Yahoo. Just as you wouldn't put your johnson in a glory hole because you have no idea what's on the other side... just don't.

The thing thats interesting with this guy is that his fakes actually look pretty good. The packaging, albeit clearly fake because thats not how the cigars come, looks very good. He doesn't give a clear photo, but the cigars look like they are well made. Sad thing is, people actually buy from him :( .

I remember doing that, although I bought the rolex watch for 10 bucks back when I was 15 years old and I knew it was a fake. However, it sure did look good for the year that it worked. :whistling:

I don't believe you are correct. Perhaps guys more familiar with the legalities of selling false merchandise, such as fake Habanos, can comment but I don't think this is legal just because they are fake.

Maybe they are "men in black" themselves... and waiting for you to bite...
Another thing which comes to mind... what should prevent them from making a picture of correct sticks but send fakes to you?
