I'm going to be in Philly Sun-Mon for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Doing Morimotos on Sunday night then taking it really easy and slow for our drive back to DC on Monday. Was planning on stopping in at Holts on Monday. They have anything interesting in? G1

Just got back from my short trip to Philly. Moromotos was amazing. Stayed at the Sofitel which was also very nice. Went to Starbucks in the am and strolled over to Holts, actually only a few doors down. It was about 10:05 am so I think we were among the first people in the store. Picked up a couple of Opus #5's, Some WOA maduros and a couple of the Avo Le07's. Smoked the Avo walking down Walnut. Nice smoke though IMO still young and good but not as good as the 05. G1

Don't forget Mahogany Cigar Bar right next door to Holts. (upstairs)
Get your smoke(s) at Holts first.

Holts has ALOT of smokes. Enjoy!

There's an XLNT King Tut exhibit in town, too. At the Franklin Institute.
Maybe a 10 block stroll/smoke from Holts.

Rittenhouse Square, a nice park, is just up Walnut St. And, Black Cat
Cigars is on Sansom St. nearby.

Don't forget Pat's Steaks(or Geno's) in So. Philly, for that Original
Philly Cheesesteak. Take a cab.

Enjoy!

Chemyst

Or you can go to The Reading Terminal Market. Make sure you go with an empty stomach since you can eat your way thru the market. A must is to go to DiNics and go get an Italian roast pork sandwich with greens and sharp provolone. The best in the city!

Bummer that I was only in town for a day. I've been there a number of times so I know most of the area pretty well. Will definately be back in Sept to see Genesis at the Wachovia Center. G1

If you're in town and have nothing better to do check out holts' distribution center in NE Philadelphia. I live close to it, and stop in all the time because there are often funky deals. One Saturday, they had Savoy humis mis-branded as Casa Fuente for $15-30. I bought three humis that day.
