Having a taste of Ballantine's 30yo bottled in 1986. Sample sent to me by someone here. Really epic stuff. Only a trace of heat and a really good balance of flavors.

Elijah Craig 12yo. Bottle was opened 2-3 years ago with only a pour taken. I recall not being in total love with it, but it's going pretty good right now.

Have you tried the Barrel Aged? I was seriously impressed with my last bottle. I think I paid 35 at the time. Seems like it's in the 50's now.

I do have a bottle of the barrel proof but haven't opened it yet. I have only seen it in Hawaii stores once and they got only 1 case. The bottle I have I got several years ago and is from the 1,2 or third run.

Whiskey from a local distillery, distilled from the mash of a local brewery's porter. Bottle was gifted to me by one of the guys at the distillery prior to its release...hence the "crude" label. Love local collaboration.

My local B&M posted this as a feature this week so I ran down to grab it.

Great scotchy scotch flavors. Slight peat smoke on the finish followed by sweet zesty hoppy citrus. Really good. Glad I picked it up.

I'm liking this. Not as beastly as the name would suggest and it is a bit "chewy" which I like. If there is another Scotch buy (I'm working on it) I'm going to make sure it is on the offering list.
