What's in your humidor?

Lately I noticed that I have a great deal of cigars in my humidor that I will most likely never smoke. I have quite a few that I will, but a lot that I am wondering if I am holding on to just for the count. I am going to do an inventory and separate smokers from traders. You know that the funny thing is, is that they are, for the most part good quality cigars.

What I want to know is, how many of you have cigars that are there just for numbers, vs what we like.

I have an idea. What if we make a trade pool, not a pass, but a pool where we can put a list of what we have that we are no longer interested in. Were I might have five or six Casa Torano Churchill that you might like, any you don't like Don Lino Africas that I do. Maybe we can horse trade.

What are your thoughts?

I think this is a great idea. I have several sticks that I picked up in fivers before I knew what I liked and I will never smoke them. They are decent smokes that someone might actually enjoy.

Taste changes!

...and send all your unwanted Toranos to Coventrycat86!

You could always send the others to the Troops!

ABSOLUTELY!!!! I have a ridiculous amount of CAOs...they are too good to toss..but I hardly smoke most of the lines right now...I also have connies taht are about 3 years old.

I was just thinking the same thing. Most of my cigars are ones I will probably never smoke. Some I got just to try, and some I got in samplers because I wanted some of the other cigars.

The only problem I can see is the rules that will have to be enforced.

Clayton

Edited to say: I'm in...

We are also putting together cigars for the troops.
How about this. Any cigars that nobody bites on after two weeks can be sent here for the troops.

I am going to put together a prototype page, and will post a link soon.

If you're planning on doing this at CP you should probably check in with Rod just to make sure he's cool with it. It sounds like you're doing it outside of the site, but it would still be nice to give Rod a heads up since you're facilitating it here.

Good luck! I hope you have success with it.

I have a couple CAO Gold that I can donate.

What CAOs do you have that you don't smoke. I love CAOs. I am now huge fan of the Gold.

Actually, I was going to suggest Rod put up the Pool Page here. This is an idea for the CP brothers and sisters.

Funny I am the complete opposite! I recently decided I needed to sell some stuff to "lower the number". After going through my entire inventory on paper I found less than 1% of my stuff that I was willing to part with.

I'm in. I fell into the Cbid trap and now have a lot of good quality smokes that I won't smoke due to flavor.

Every couple of months, i'll put together a care package for a few guys overseas with some mags which i wont reread, cigars, and other random stuff which they would appreciate more then i would. Love the APO Flat Rate boxes.
