Though I personally don't have a prefernece over how "long" a cigar is, though I prefer thicker ring gauges, I have found I probably smoke robusto's twice as much as any other cigar. So I have been finding and narrowing down to some of my favorite robusto's lately and am sure will continue to do so. One thing I am doing different than I did months ago is buying more of one particular cigar I know I like in bulk, than grabbing several individual sticks as a variety pack.
So how about you? What is your favorite Robusto's (or similar sizes)? What is your favorite practical Robusto, that is to say one that is readily available to you (at least for now) and within your budget?
My favorites are:
Punch Rothschild Maduro Maduro (I perfer these over the HdM counterparts for some reason)
Hoyo de Monterey Dark Sumptra Espresso
When I can find them - and better yet find them without too bad of price gauging:
Fuente Sungrown Robusto
Fuente Hemingway Short Story
Partagas Series D No. 4
When I have the money and can find them:
Ashton VSG Enchantment
Don Carlos Robusto
Anyway, looking to hear about your favorites!
Sam
