Just fired my best round of the spring this morning at my home course. Just wondering what kind of golfers we have here at CP.

I am a 8 at Northgate Country Club here in Houston
Fired a 76 this morning (made everything I looked at!)

I am sure we have some scratch golfers lurking here!! Cigars and golf go hand in hand together!! :laugh:

I've been as low as a 6 and as high as a 12 in recent years. I let my official handicap rating lapse the last few years since I haven't been entering tournaments. Late last summer I might have been below a 6 as I was playing great for 6-8 weeks straight.

Life has gotten in the way of golf this year and so far I have only played a few times and that was in 30-40 mph wind.
 
It's about four thousand. Depending on how my putting is that day.

But seriously it's probably around 18, but I've never cared enough to really keep track. Funny thing about golf, the better you play the more apt you are to keep a close eye on your scores :sign:
 
This thread upsets me :angry: . Definetly NOT what I want it to be. In mid teens and shooting for 10 this year ???

I envy you guys that can play year round. I get to play maybe 6 months of the year and a trip to Florida in Feb.

I dont know how you guys up north do it..I could not imagine only playing 4-5 months out of the year. I complain about our weather July-Sept. But overall its not to bad in Houston... :D
 
Do not have an official one but have shot 80 a few times last summer on both the Red-Gold and White-Blue courses at Flanders Valley here in NJ. . This will be the summer I am in the 70's. Usually play every Saturday with my Dad and sister's boyfriend.

A 76? Now I don't know if I want to come down there for a round at your club.....It'll just be too embarrassing :blush: .
 
Used to be an 11, but haven't been playing much. I plan to play a lot this summer, just went for some practice today and was doing OK. What a great pastime.

I'll give you 3 a side and we will play for a few of YOUR cigars... :laugh: Let me know when you are in town..the course is in really good shape right now afer all of the past rain. You could shoot 66 or 106 and we would still have a blast, last time I was there they still served cold beer!!

No shit, really?! I used to play Flanders all the time, it was our home course when I played in high school. :thumbs:
 
I played 3-4 times a week in my 20's and carried a low of 7.6. I quit playing for 7 years and just started back this year because my 11 year old son wanted to start playing and in the 5-6 rounds I've played this year have been between 79-92. Forgot how quickly your putting can go to crap when you don't play for a while.
 
I don't play well with others let alone a handicap, last I know it was around 9 and that was 15 years ago so I really can't tell you now. Believe me it hasn't gotten any better since. :angry:
