So I boxed up some smokes for a trade with ffopusxff and went down to the local post office on this very windy afternoon, and I go inside and the power is out. The gal behind the counter, who knows me real well from all the stuff I send out, says that a telephone pole with a large transformer behind the post office must have had a weak spot, and the wind knocked it down. Once it struck the ground it burst into flames, so the fire department and utility crews have been there all afternoon dealing with it.

So, no power means she can't print the postage label for my package and it can't go out today. Usually that wouldn't be a problem but because of hightened security they also print out a label for all packages handed over that declares that I'm a "known" customer and it doesn't contain anything it shouldn't. So I paid cash for the package, and she'll get it out tomorrow once the power is back on.

One time my dog pissed on one of Devin's packages........worst part... I don't even have a dog...

My only real late package going out was the result of a 3 day drunk stint followed by a massive hangover (2 more days) early last year. This was a contest prize pack fortunately and not a typical obligation shipment. No booze for me since May!!! :D

Whatever happened to "Neither snow, nor rain, nor flaming transformers, nor gloom of backup lights stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds?"

Someone's slackin' :sign:

Just to clarify, we just agreed on a trade yesterday afternoon, so instead of next day service it will be two days to ship my end. So technically I'm not late, just in case I made it sound like that. :D
