When trying a new cigar...

I never really make a conscious decision when going for something new. I'm always on the hunt for some new favorite in the Lancero size. However, pretty much all of the B&M's I frequent never have any, so I rely on my brothers here mostly.

When trying a new cigar, if I think it'll be good or if I've heard that it is, I'll buy two. One will be a Robusto and the other will be whatever the next size smaller is. This way I can double check the first test, and by getting two different sizes, I figure the Torcedor won't be the same guy.

I try to sample a small ring gauge cigar because I tend to enjoy smaller smokes. Sometimes smoking up & down a line to figure out which cigar is the best makes no sense for me. The cigar that might subjectively taste best may very well be in a size/gauge that is simply to large for me to enjoy.

P.S. That reply does not feel like it came out right.
