Where I smoke

After joining CP 6 months ago I decided if I was going to learn more about cigars, I had to smoke more cigars. Having no place comfortable to smoke outside of my B&M was inhibiting my desire to do so at all. So within a couple weeks of joining I cleaned up our neglected patio and gave myself a place to relax. The before pictures here are after the clean-up, it was much worse a few weeks prior with cheap old plastic patio furniture in the corner, over grown plants, and enough sand to start my own beach. I snapped a few photos before winter comes as we may put our home on the market early spring. The bigger change was actually in that back room which belonged to a neglected cat we took in at the time while he adjusted to our other pets. It is now my smoking room in the event of intolerable weather. I have no after photos of that yet.

Nice set up!

I smoke on an enclosed back porch - and in the winter...my garage.
The garage has a 30,000 btu heater and chairs/tv/radio/frig set up.

A friend from NJ just came up with 2 leather <pronounced - pleather!> reclining chairs that are in great shape for a smoke room! More later!

Hey, that looks comfortable!

Where's the roof that closes the dome for winter  J/K

Very nice Casa!!

I think my Greyhound is related somehow to your Dachsund. Same position. On the couch on her back with the legs straight up, same as your little guy.

For those of us without a heated garage or an indoor smoking room, a fire pit is definitely the way to go during the winter months!

Winter months! Way to man up, I however will head for that room right next to my patio come early November. I've painted, bought some cigar accesories, I just need a big leather couch or 2 chairs in time for the snow.

Better make that couches and chairs.

Herf at CasaSoho's place every weekend this winter! Woohoo!!! :D

BTW, that link Smokelaw posted is pretty cool. Hmmmmmm....

I hear that steve! I am thinking about getting this one for the patio in back of the new house:

Well, I was going to use that for supplemental heating in the house, until I read this at the bottom of the page:
CAUTION: As with any fire, use common sense.
Avoid burning near combustible materials, and on windy days.
NOT FOR USE INDOORS OR ON WOOD DECKING

Better make that couches and chairs.

Are you bringing the cigars?

As for the top comment: They make a more efficient fireplace grate that actually makes a fireplace a not-that-horribly-inneficient way to supplement the heat (it's still no wood stove or pellet-burning system). The open one would be, uh, stupid.

As for the bottom commnet....you host the Herf, I'm sure between Tigger and I, (sorry if I am speaking erroneously for you, Tim) will keep you in cigars for the evening in exchange for a warm place to smoke.
