wurm, I have not been "following you around." You and I had a very pleasant PM exchange back in early February where we apologized to one another and I felt the matter was closed and have left you alone ever since.
It's obvious to me though that your apology to me and your kind words back in February were completely insincere since it's obvious you thirve on trolling and baiting which is not going unnoticed.

Sorry this got so long, but I had a few things to get off my chest...
I am a newbie. To cigars and this board. I learn something new just about every time I visit this place. I read a lot and post a little if I have something to contribute. I'm sure many don't care what I have to say and I may be acting as Captain obvious, but here goes...
Don't most people who hang around here regularly pretty much know who the FOGs are? If you take the time to actually read the threads and follow what's going on around here you get an idea of who is who pretty quickly. It has something to do with longevity, but it is certainly a lot more than that. It has something to do with cigar knowledge, but it is more than that, too. One cannot aspire to a list of bullet points in order to become something that has no concrete definition.
Why does this seem to be brought up every couple of months or so? There is a regularity to this issue rearing its ugly head that one could almost set their bowels to. It really seems to accomplish nothing other than stirring up animosity. The threads usually start out pretty good, sometimes even pretty lighthearted, then BOOM somebody (nobody in particular) has to come in and turn the whole thing to shit.
I mean really, does it matter that much? It is important for the board to have an idea of who can be approached and trusted when things need to be handled, but that's something one can learn quite easily by paying attention and spending some actual time here. Is there some sort of secret meeting with free booze and strippers that these guys are having every month? Why the apparent obsession with who is wearing the "robes and rings" (thanks ggiese
) Is it really THAT important?
This isn't some "secret society" or 8th grade. If everybody stopped worrying about their position in the pecking order around here there might just be a little less crap being thrown around.
It would be nice if people would stop trying to be something they are not and just accept the fact that they've been invited into someone else's home (Rod's and I'd dare say those who have been here since almost the beginning) and act accordingly. The furniture looks fine where it is, the drapes match the carpet (except in some of AVBs cigar girl pics) and the fellowship is for the most part a great deal of fun and informative.
This wasn't meant to single out any person or persons in any way. It is an observation based on the MANY threads about this topic that have come up since I've been here. The shit stirrers come in all shapes and sizes and some aren't even here anymore. Please don't get your panties in a bunch if you THINK some of this applies to you.

There are many ppl on this board who I respect and admire for their vast cigar knowledge. Some of them have been here since the inception of this board and many could still be considered "stuck in the middle"
