My advice is to just find an excuse that you will not be in town and vote absentee, but do so well in advance so that your vote WILL BE COUNTED. I voted a few weeks ago, via mail, as I am in Pennsylvania today and not in Ohio, where I am registered to vote.

I will avoid saying who I voted for, but more relevant to this forum, we had a Smoking Ban on the ballot in the city of Columbus, and I obviously voted against that. I am all for individual businesses banning smoking, hell, Applebee's did and I still eat there, but I am one that is against there being a law forbidding smoking in all public places, as our bill originally stated. If this stupid bill passes, then I will not be able to herf with the Central Ohio Cigar Kings at our favorite bar/restaurant, and I will miss that.

Hopefully, I will know tonight if this passed.

Just me and a little, blue haired, church lady with homemade cookies and cake at 8:15 this morning. God I love where I live.

Well, it looks like the ban is going to pass. The Pleasure Police are winning 55%-44%.

Looks like my dollars will stay outside of Columbus when I am choosing a bar to frequent...

Not one person in front of me at the polls. The south isn't the most political people lol.

Sorry to hear that man. Smoking bans are so stupid. Now, Perfume bans, or bans on Tampon commercials, I can get behind that. But banning smoking in restaurants? Dumb Dumb Dumb.

I waited about 30 minutes in line to vote. Hard to believe that many rednecks were voting. All of my picks have one so far I'm just hoping my vote for president pays out ;)

We had close to an 80% voter turnout, but 25% of them voted early. Took me 7 minutes to vote, and that's only because I took the time to actually read the ballot instructions and carefully punch the chads. Yes, we still use punch cards. ???

I would like to say something to all the good people from Maryland who felt they needed to come to my state and try to "save" us from voting the way we did, KISS MY AMPLE A$$! :p

No one in line when I went singed my name and walked into the booth. Already new who my votes would be for so total time less than 2 min.

No waiting your next. I live in a mail-in precinct. Sent my ballot in late October. And although I knew my vote would not affect the Presidential race, the real issues were local.

Glad I voted. Good to see that many other Americans did also.
