Why not use two different humidification devices?

The seasoning guide says not to use a foam type humidifier in conjuction with the jar or tube gel type? Why would that be? I bought a tube awhile back for keeping smaller tupperdors or bags etc. and just keep it in the humi when not using for that, am I doing something wrong?

To get my coolidor to stay at 65% I had to place a humi jar thing in there in addition to my half pound of beads.

All things are dependant on many variables but mostly two different humidity instruments will eventually be working against each other unless you are fortunate enough to have the two producing exactly the same % of humidity precisely at the same time which is not very likely.

There should not be a need to use two different forms of humidifying and if there is something is wrong with your setup.
