O.K. I know there are some big boys hanging round this forum, where do you go to find socks that don't leave a ring around your ankle? Also socks that don't slide down like a young girl. :laugh: Really! I'm tired of tight socks. Where do you go to buy? Thanks!

In all seriousness, a good store should have 'wide' socks available. I know when I was working at EMS we had a selection of 'wide' hiking socks and liners that were excellent quality.

I have similar issues. I have to wear light to medium support socks. Fockers are nearly $75/pair from local ortho stores.

Footsmart.com has done me well for shoes and socks.

My dad used to wear them bastards when I was a kid, and even then (with no fashion sense) I know they were definitely *not* cool.

I don't know what Brandon was drivin' at here by statin' "come Crocs," and knowing his proclivities, I'll leave it well enough alone.

But, to add...Crocs are outstanding. If you get fed up with the "sock" ordeal...definitely get a pair, or, also, my favorites, Sperry Goldcups and Sperry Bahamas.

If you've gotta wear socks sometimes, Gold Toe makes some great socks in a variety of sizes (wide and extended). You can find them just about everywhere. You can also find some others here:
