I'd like to install a bigger hard drive but it looks like the old Windows 98 SE is not going to cut it. Anyone know where I can get Windows XP for a decent price?

TIA :)

Windows SE? What's that?

Are you saying you tried to replace one with the other or add one on the ribbon?

Is this one of those older OSs that don't address large storage sizes properly?

A computer is much like an air conditioner; it doesn't work well with Windows open.

It's the '98 Special Edition. I think it was released in early 2000 :0 And yes it won't address larger then a 32gb HD.

Thanks for all the PMs fellas. I'm taken care of here :)

Its not the O/S thats restricting HD size, Its you BIOs you have to use a system overlay to break the size barrier. Most HDs come with an installation disk that will allow larger HDs. Seems to me Iv'e had 40 & 80 gig HDs in machines running Win98/Win98SE & Win ME with out any major problems.
