Met them a few years back when they played up at U Hartford. From what I remember, a good time was had. :D

A quick story.....

While I was deployed to Iraq the first time, me and a friend made up posters saying that that the P-funk All-stars featuring Bootsie Collins was going to be doing a show at our camp.

Over 3/4 of the base showed up, and I felt like a real ass......

I met George a couple of times 10 or more years ago. He used to get his crazy hair extensions done at an industrial hair salon here in Minneapolis when he as in town and I knew the owner. Nice guy - pretty funny and clearly still living life at 100MPH. I saw a show here with him, Bootsie, and the P-Funk All-Stars that lasted well over 3 hours. They went so far past closing time that the club actually started shutting down power to the stage :) From the moment they hit the stage it was non-stop good times. They put on great shows. All hail the Godfather of Funk!

What a great show!

In the 'pale' seats of the Ridgefield Playhouse sat an untapped crowd...until the lights went down and the sound came up!

Funkadelic rock and roll for 2 hours...those boy's know how to FUNK IT UP!

One of the best guitar performances I've ever seen. (example)

COMPLETELY unexpected as I was only familiar with some of the songs the band has come out with...now I know. ;)
