Saw this on Amazon, my fave cheap Firebird lighter quit working , looking for a vintage lighter at the swap. Maybe something Pontiac.

I swapped my childhood zippo to the butane insert for the cool factor. They're really nice to have as a show piece if friends are coming over, or if you're going to an event, but my cheap triple flame works better.

I have a zippo that I found, already had the flame swapped out. Works great.

I use the soft flame one daily.

IMHO the soft flame version is better than the torch version.
I like the 2xflame, but with no way to adjust it and the small tank, for me, it has to be a home use lighter, and where is the fun in that.

I will say the zippo w/insert is easy to get through TSA

I had the single torch years ago. I didn't know they made a double torch.

I've tried several inserts and I'm not a big fan of the Zippo version. I find the button too small for my meat hooks. Also, these are not backed by the Zippo lifetime warranty either. Made in China, 2-year warranty.

I like the KGM Thunderbird soft flame version that has the wheel and flint but had issues with reliability (broke after two refills). The torch has a bigger button with fits your finger better.

for the price it’s a hell of a deal. Now to find a vintage zippo. I’ll take the insert to the swap with me, illPost it when I get it.
