Last night - Ølfabrikken 100 Gram IPA. Holy f*cking flavor bomb.

Tonight it was a Yard's Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce Ale...part of their "Ales of the Revolution" series:
Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce - Based on Benjamin Franklin's original recipe for a Spruce Beer; Yards Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce is a dark, mild ale brewed with molasses and organic spruce tips. Although Franklin recorded this recipe during his time in France, spruce and molasses had become a common brewing ingredient for American colonists. This was driven by the lack of availability and cost of hops and barley. At the time, Britain restricted and unfairly taxed the trade of hops and barley imported to the colonies forcing colonists to produce ales from readily available ingredients - Spruce was the favored choice. Alcohol by Volume is 4.5%

Last night it was a Victory Baltic Thunder, reviewed [topic="41175"]here[/topic].

I was fortunate enough to get to try that recently at a tasting. Good stuff. One of those combinations of European and
American brewing styles like the Schneider-Brooklyn Hopfen-Weisse or the Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel.

I tried a new beer the other night

Bell's Special Double Cream Stout...

First and foremost you have got to try this beer. It is a hidden gem.

Tim - I just got a bottle of this as an extra in a recent trade, glad to hear it kicks ass!

Was in Seattle all week so I sampled some local/west coast brews:

Dragonstooth Stout - Elysian Brewing Company
10 Degrees Below - Scuttlebutt Brewing Company
Gale Force India Style Pale Ale - Scuttlebutt Brewing Company
Big Daddy IPA - Speakeasy Ales & Lagers
Prohibition Ale - Speakeasy Ales & Lagers

Also had a couple bottles of Duvel, oh how I love when an open bar has good beer!

I drank 1 Sam Adams winter lager to wash down two percs.I had a hernia operation yesterday and the pain is phenominal :(

Get better soon man!

I had a Smuttynose "Finest Kind" IPA. It was pretty good but not quite as balanced as I like. It was like I was taking a bit of a grapefruit each sip.

Jonas,
I sometimes like the 'grapefruit' beers!
Last night...
Yeti and Victory Storm King.
Both excellent.
Is the Yeti hard to find?

Those are both great beers Rob, and no, the Yeti isn't hard to find around these parts anyway.

I had a bunch of Lewis & Clark Fire Tower Ale while catering a party yesterday. It's decent, but definitely nothing to get excited about.

I finally got around to buying a bottle of Aventinus today, so that is what I am drinking tonight.

I agree Rob, I like them too but I prefer when they offer a subtle sweetness to balance the bittering hops.

Great choices btw, I love both the Yeti and SK. Try the Oak Aged Yeti to kick it up a notch sometime.

Stone IP
Stone Reunation IPA
Speakeasy Big daddy IPA
Stone Arrogant bastard Ale
All of which were awesome beers!

Had some Dale's Pale Ale last night. Quickly becoming one of my go to's!
