I'm Being Assaulted by Puff.com

It's all over several forums, Gary. Here's one link. Guess their mail bot woke up and started spamming everyone that's ever been a member of any of Crap-uto's forums.

Read a thread elsewhere that the unsuscribe button actually worked to the contrary......took angry e-mails to get anything done.

Things like this are why I have a second email account I only use to sign up for shit sites like that where I don't want them spamming me constantly.

You can contact your ISP and tell them about the adress that is spamming you. Tell them you tried to 'unsubscribe' but have found out that it does not work and you keep getting mail.

We can also contact their hosting company and some 'black list' sites! :whistling:

(edit - this is what I emailed them on the contact page:

Hello, please remove my email garyg@xxx.com from all of your email lists and spam generators. If I recieve any after the next 48 hours, the email and this site will be reproted to not only my ISP but various black list providers and your own ISP and hosting sites.

As an IT professional I take spamming very seriously and your 'UNSUBSCRIBE' feature does not work...which is a violation in and of itself.

Also, please do not share my email address with any other compnaies or within your own.

Regards,
Gary G.

I don't have a way to stop spam on my business email account, but if I get someone who will not let me unsubscribe, or listen to reason, I submit/threaten to submit a complaint with the FTC.

Usually stops within a day.

FTC complaint linky.

I was a member of Club Stogie, now Coputo Collection.com Anyway, I hit the unsubscribe button and it worked for me. But, if you use Outlook, add it to the rules as spam.

I just received a response and they may have had a problem with their 'unsub' linkies.

Anyhow, I should be all set! :p

Respectfully, that's not happening. If their unsuscribe link doesn't work, they get reported. Simple as that.

I'm not filling up my spam filter box with their spam because they are too stupid / don't care enough to have a functional "remove" feature.

Well, that certainly doesn't surprise me. Thankfully, I never signed up. Still, if they have some way of harvesting emails, this is good info.
