It's been a while since I've asked this question...

What would you like to see at CigarPass? Features, content, guides, etc... Post them here, and let's see how many we can make happen.

Thanks,
Rod

I would love to see a more functional search feature. As it currently stands, the basic search is really useless, and the advanced search requires some real finesse with choosing options for it to function. I really don't know if it is possible to "fix" with the size of the database now, but I am afraid some of the old threads are going to be lost forever.

Any way some of the defaults can be expanded to compensate? I can give you some examples of issues if necessary, starting with the view content features in profiles?

Good point. We need to repair the Sphinx server, which used to be the primary back-end search engine for CP. It broke during one of the upgrades, and requires some linux and php programming to get it working again. This will be on the top of the list of things to do...

+1

I really like the new home page on a side note.

Would like to see the "TOP" button come back. Convenient to be able to hit this when a thread page gets long and one wants to get back to the top of the page to hit View New Content.

John,

It's there. Look at the bottom, there is a small round arrow way at the bottom of the page.

Can we modify AVB's post counter, so that every time he posts, it reduces his 20,000 total count by 1? ;)

Never saw it before now Rod. Was always used to the button before it disappeared after one of the upgrades. Thanks!

You can always press the <Home> button on your keyboard, too. That'll work on any website.

Now if you had tied the chat into Cleverbot as a big April fools joke, I would have been really impressed. :D

Well, I use my phone as my primary internet source so I'am not sure this is an issue for everyone..

When I use the quick view arrow to pull down a preview of new content in a thread it displays all black text on the dark brown striped background. For myself, It's pretty hard to see.

Not sure how you could go about it, just saying.

+1 on the homepage, Rod.

Will this be done soon beacuse searching for the answers to the contest Jonesy posted is killing me...

Good work Rod I really like the new home page and the chat feature!

Thank You

Paul

Every time I post increase Kirk's count since he obviously is envious of my post count

I do not have post envy...I just tend to procrastinate. You joined 3 days before I did , but you hit 20,000 posts yesterday, which gives me one more day to post 17,348 times to catch up.

Homepage is unusable in IE8 right now. I don't know if you're up early working on it or what. Everything is brown text on a brown background and in one long column.

I tried to upload a screenshot using IE8, but I received this error:

Anyone else having this issue?
John - try clearing your cache and try again.

Homepage looks like crap.

brownish text is nearly impossible to read on brown background.

Also, page seems to be set to a size and not auto fit.

IE something.

Homepage looks fine on Safari at 1920x1080 resolution.

the chat bar at the bottom is covering the lower half of my search bar......

Also, if you cold get an option to turn a random pixel stripper to dance around the lower half of the screen that would also give my random ego boosting compliments while i browse CP, that would be AWESOME!

Tim
