Yeah Hank, I got the story from my kid in grammar school years ago. It's amazing what you can learn from a 7 year old who does a report about Thanksgiving.

Now that I think about it, that's one of the most significant contributions either of my children gave me...other than ulcers, sleepless nights, and an empty bank account.

I had never known why this date became the norm but coincidentally this very same topic came up during dinner. My FIL was telling everyone his version of why (he left out some parts) and my mom said her version (she had missing parts of the story also) and it started to get a little heated. I was about to correct both of them with Doc's info I had read that day, but just realized, " I have a hard time getting my point across with just 1 parent, to take on 2 would just ruin my appetite! :sign:
