Buena Vista's On Sale Again

I bought a few boxes this time as well as last time and IMHO the cigars from the vendor in this thread were in better shape than the last. I have smoked a couple and they are a pretty good smoke. Already gave away a box to one of my workers, who did me a favor, and he smokes "cigars" (just to give you an idea of "cigars" most of those I've seen him smoke have plastic tips) and they looked great and you would have thought I gave him a box of Viking treasure.

I have been so tempted to buy these cigars in the past. A few friends have reported some significant draw issues with the smaller sizes. I believe it was mostly the corona size for them that were turning up plugged. Still very tempting.

I must have received a bad batch. Returning is more trouble then it's worth and the vendor has provided great service before and since.
I'm just going to let them sit for awhile and try again once I forgot about the previous frustration.

Thanks for the detailed replies all.

These are the Reservas not Edicion limitadas, so if you think/thought the EL 08's were too mild, you may like these, as I find them to have more strength, not Nica puro Joya de Nicaragua strength, but noticeable.

I'm kinda "Buena Vista'd out", not that I mind hearing about the specials and such.

For those of you that haven't already stocked up or can't resist the deal they are now almost giving these away.

"The Vista is indeed Buena. A 24-hr doozy of a deal: starting $39.99 for 3 boxes of 7-year aged Buena Vista."

I bought about 15 boxes of these during the sale and have been smoking them daily. I've noticed and inordinate number of them are tight, has anybody else experienced this? The silver lining is that I've developed a method of improving the draw that is +/-75% effective.

And it is....................?

OK, we are are holding out breath and hanging by out fingernails, so alright already, what IS the secret method?

I cut the cap an let em sit in the humidor for a week or so. If still a little tight, put in a sandwich bag and throw in the freezer for 2hrs. That fixes the draw about 75% of the time.

Which one are you having issues with? I've had issues with the corona gordas in the past, but none of the other sizes.

The coronas I bought were so tight as to be virtually unsmokeable. Glad I only bought the one box.

Hire Cigar Bella, to make any occasion, corporate or charity event or a private party memorable full of fun and laughter.

I throw them in the fireplace, douse them with lighter fluid, then set them on fire. Seems to fix the issue with the tight draw, burn and taste. Well at least for me. :D
Which brand of Lighter Fluid? :D
