Today's Smoke 2016

About to start up an AVO dominant 13th from a special edition pack. I've only tried one other AVOA

Well, the cao didn't pan out well. It broke apart, might have been my fault as I was too agressive trying to get the label off and had to quit it half way. I went to an old 2013 or 12 tat verocu

Hard shift? Sounds like you were having a bad day :)

The truth of the matter is, I would take just about any other cigar Fuente makes over the 20th. I've discussed my disappointment with Fuente's production over the last 5 years with several brothers, and this cigars is no different. The burn was terrible, the flavor was acrid from 5/8" into it until the final inch and a half when it finally became the cigar it was meant to be. The experience was horrible at best. I have always been a Fuente fan. My honest opinion at this point is that they need to have the rollers that pump out the 858's, the Rothschilds, and the most pedestrian of the Feunte offerings roll the most elusive and expensive of their lines because the quality has, simply put, gone to sh*t. I recently smoked an Opus X from a few years ago thanks to a brother here. It reminded me of a time when Fuente was the gold standard, and when the marca Opus X meant something. Honestly, I wish I had spent my money, although it was at MSRP, on something different. Hell, a few LFD's, Fratello's, or even a down payment on a box of RyJ Cazadores would have been more fruitful. Fuente, much like Padron, is simply betting on their name. I'd not worry about chasing these cigars.

Edited to say that I am impressed, in my state of inebriation, how I almost avoided all use of the Oxford comma.:p

How was the cigar? I had absolutely no luck tracking a single affordable stock down lol.
There is a B&M that's in Denver that may still have some available. They were two per size limit, ranging $27-$29 each. I can check in with them if that seems "affordable". I can possibly get to them later next week. As I'll be off but may be tied up with things.
